We recognise that far too often, the hours volunteers & staff devote to both events and behind the scenes work can go unnoticed. Whilst it might only seem like a small gesture, saying thank you to those whom have put in the hours across the year can go a long way into building a culture of respect and gratitude, and can do wonders when the going gets tough in your busy periods, if you have some last minute gaps in your rosters, or your favourite client needs some more staff at one of their upcoming events.
VTEvents records hours across multiple facets – hours spent travelling to & from events, at events, and behind the scenes on administrative tasks, cleaning & preparing equipment for the next event, training staff, helping with any last minute planning & paperwork, and so-on.
The VTEvents volunteer hours reporting then allows you to easily see totals and breakdowns of hours being contributed, so volunteers can be recognised at the end of each quarter, 6 months and calendar year (or any other time you prefer too!).
An important part of recognising whom is putting in the hours, is also to manage fatigue, and ensure your volunteers aren’t doing too much, too quickly and getting burnt out from being “in the moment”, and remember to take a break every now and then to recuperate & re-energise themselves for the next busy period.
